Tar Heels survive a tough first test

Most top-ranked teams wouldn't want to open the season with a scare. North Carolina, however, embraced its sometimes-nailbiting, often-frustrating 72-68 victory over Davidson on Wednesday night. But the Tar Heels (1-0) didn't even look good in some stretches, such as when point guard had to go to the bench with three early fouls; or when the Wildcats (1-1) opened the second half with an 8-0 run.
