Tar Heels open with Davidson, challenge
Posted Nov 14, 2007
The No. 1 Tar Heels begin a season infused with championship aspirations when they face Davidson tonight in Charlotte at 7 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN. Even if UNC is the team everyone expects it to be, playing Davidson (1-0) comes with risks. While the Wildcats don't have the name-brand recognition of some schools, they return five starters from a team that won a program-record 29 games last season.
