Independence Bowl features two programs in transition

Missouri and North Carolina carry identical 7-5 records into Monday's AdvoCare V100 Independence Bowl, but the similarities extend far past a simple win-loss record. The Tigers and Tar Heels are teams in transition as well though their paths are crossing in different directions. For Missouri, Monday's game is its Big 12 swan song before it heads to the reconfigured 14-team Southeastern Conference next season.
