Duke, UNC Must "Recruit" Too

College basketball's fall national signing period begins Wednesday. That's the first day a high school senior can make his college decision official in the eyes of the NCAA. As is usually the case, North Carolina and Duke will draw raves for the quality of their signees. In all likelihood, somebody will say or write that the Tar Heels and Blue Devils have become so popular that "they don't recruit, they select." That's not exactly true. (David Glenn's ACC Journal)
