Vic Koenning coaches Illinois to bowl win, is set to join UNC staff

Distractions were plentiful heading into the most bizarre of bowls. Which is why when Illinois arrived in San Francisco for the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl, Illinois defensive coordinator and interim coach Vic Koenning said, "We're here to win." Illinois cleared out the disturbances and focused on that. (Chicago Tribune)
