North Carolina coach Butch Davis said the Tar Heels' last two games of the season are no less important to him than the first two. "I told the players, 'Every time we play is an opportunity for this football team to get better,'" Davis said Monday. "That can't get lost. For 95 percent of the guys on this football team, their career is just getting started." (Rocky Mount Telegram)
