James Summers gets an education in recruiting

James Summers, the 6-foot-3, 205-pound senior, who rescinded his longtime commitment to N.C. State last week, plans to sign a binding national letter of intent with North Carolina today. Summers, the No. 8-ranked dual-threat QB in the nation by Rivals.com, said the adjustment to a spread offense at UNC and the fewer quarterbacks on the roster compared with N.C. State provide him a better opportunity to get on the field his freshman year.
