Hot-shooting Blue Devils rout Tar Heel women

A veteran of 20 seasons as a Division I women’s basketball head coach, Duke’s Joanne P. McCallie often was a spectator when her team had the ball Monday night. That was just fine with her. The No. 5-ranked Blue Devils ambushed rival North Carolina with crisp passing and hot shooting, turning the game into a rout early in a 96-56 ACC win. (Durham Herald-Sun)
