Observations from UNC-Virginia

Virginia's Mike Scott played 27 minutes overall, but only 10 of those came in the first half. He picked up his second foul with 9:10 to play in the first half and left the game with Virginia leading by two. Scott didn't play the rest of the half, and North Carolina coach Roy Williams said he made it a point of emphasis for his team to get the ball inside during Scott's absence.
