Tudor: With McAdoo, Heels will contend for ACC title

Thursday’s decision by James Michael McAdoo to return to school for another basketball season doesn’t automatically make North Carolina a top-10 team for 2012-13, but it does give the Tar Heels a fighting chance. Had McAdoo joined John Henson, Kendall Marshall and Harrison Barnes in the June 28 NBA Draft, Carolina’s roster would have been so gutted that a NCAA bid could have been a long shot.
