Jim Beatty To Be Honored By NC Sports Hall Of Fame


The North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame announced Thursday that former Tar Heel standout will be added to the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame’s “Great Moments” series during a reception at the North Carolina Museum of History on Wednesday, May 9. Beatty ran the first sub-four-minute-indoor mile (3:58.9) on Feb. 10, 1962, in Los Angeles. (Tar Heel Blue)
