Griffin overcomes illness, injury to power Tar Heels
North Carolina freshman Adam Griffin came down with mononucleosis in January, then broke his ankle sliding into third base just before the season started. But after recovering from his illness and injury, the outfielder finally is feeling comfortable, and his fourth straight multi-hit game helped No. 6 UNC (28-9) defeat High Point 10-5 on Tuesday at Boshamer Stadium.
