Will Grier a big hit on more than one field

Will Grier is best known for his accomplishments on the football field as the Davidson Day sophomore quarterback led the Patriots to a NCISAA 1A state championship in their first year as program. But this spring, Grier is playing on a different field with nearly as much success as he had on the gridiron. Grier, 17, is hitting .556 with six home runs, making him one of the top power-hitters in the Charlotte area. (Charlotte Observer)
