UNC alum Norwood Teague expected to be named University of Minnesota athletics director

The role of the University of Minnesota's athletics director search committee was to recommend to U President Eric Kaler either finalists or a finalist to succeed Joel Maturi, who retires on June 30. After 40 prospects received consideration during a two-month search, it turned out one finalist stood above all others: Norwood Teague, 46, who has been AD at Virginia Commonwealth University since 2006.
