Media expects a Triangle resurgence


Long hailed as a college basketball Mecca, the Research Triangle area in North Carolina appears headed for one of its most interesting seasons. If the media know what they are talking about, the ACC’s basketball power base is located squarely within the 25-mile radius that includes Chapel Hill, Durham and Raleigh. For the first time since 1990 and the second time in 38 years, the Triangle schools occupy the top three spots in the ACC media poll. (The State)
