Carolina Softball Downs Chanticleers, 5-3

No. 21 North Carolina scored four runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back, defeating Coastal Carolina, 5-3, in an elimination game Saturday evening at Jack Turner Softball Stadium. The Tar Heels improve to 43-14 on the season. Kelli Wheeler led off the game with a solo home run over the wall in left center field. (Tar Heel Blue)
