Heels Win ACC Tournament Opener

No. 2 seed North Carolina scored four runs in the third inning to take a commanding lead over No. 7 seed Wake Forest and coasted to a 6-0 victory in ACC Tournament play on Wednesday. The Tar Heels (43-13) won their 14th consecutive game in much the same way they won their previous 13 – with surgically precise pitching, solid fielding and timely hitting. (Inside Carolina)
