North Carolina to open regional against Cornell

Playing for a berth in the College World Series never gets old at UNC, not even after five trips to Omaha in the past six seasons. UNC will start another bid this afternoon, when it plays Cornell in the Chapel Hill Regional at Boshamer Stadium. This time, UNC will see if a left-handed-hitting lineup and one of the deepest pitching staffs in the country can carry the program to its first national championship. (Winston-Salem Journal)
