Tar Heels finally put away Cornell in regional opener


The North Carolina fans at Boshamer Stadium got to their feet and starting clapping, the volume rising with each strike from Tar Heels closer Michael Morin. On the third pitch, Morin struck out Cornell’s Tom D’Alessandro with two runners aboard, sealing another home NCAA Tournament win for UNC. (Durham Herald-Sun)
