Don’t look at Director’s Cup standings for ACC’s best in 2011-12

In a couple of weeks, the final Director’s Cup standings will be released and UNC will proclaim itself as the top overall athletic program in the ACC for the 2011-12 academic year. But while the numbers are right there in black and white with UNC finishing fourth nationally, does anyone – even those in Chapel Hill – honestly believe that the Tar Heels’ were the league’s best over the past 12 months?
