Tar Heels gamble on second football transfer

The Tar Heels hit the jackpot with (junior college transfer) Sylvester Williams, who will be an all-star candidate and potential NFL draft pick next fall as a senior. UNC's new coaching staff, headed by Larry Fedora, hopes to find similar success with their latest verbal commitment. Jarran Reed, a 6-foot-4, 300-pounder who has been enrolled at East Mississippi Community College since January, was offered a scholarship by the Tar Heels over the weekend and quickly accepted.
