With changes in recruiting rules, July live period looks different


For the past several years, the July recruiting period has been pretty much the same. College coaches had not seen potential recruits in a competitive environment in a few months, so there was a lot of catching up to do. Moreover, recruits were still getting an idea of which schools were showing the most interest. This year, July is different. First, there is the calendar change, which shifted July from two 10-day recruiting periods to three five-day periods. (CBS Sports)
