Butch Davis files for protective order on 216 records
Posted Jul 17, 2012
Former UNC football coach Butch Davis’ attorney filed for a protective order and is seeking to quash a subpoena of his personal cell phone records, according to a brief released Tuesday. The document argues that the subpoena for the 216-area code phone number records should be quashed because the release of them violates Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) laws and that they do not constitute “public records.”
