NCAA investigates N.C. State freshman Rodney Purvis’ eligibility


N.C. State’s basketball team will make its trip to Spain without freshman guard Rodney Purvis. Purvis, a McDondald’s All-American from Raleigh, has not been cleared by the NCAA, N.C. State announced on Saturday. The Wolfpack is scheduled to leave for a five-game trip to Spain and the Canary Islands on Sunday. (Raleigh News & Observer)
