Five Days Remain In London Games, Tar Heels Still In Contention

Track and field standouts from the state of North Carolina shined in day 12 of the London games. Alice Schmidt is a 2004 graduate of UNC. Wednesday she placed 10th out of 40 runners, second in her heat and just .09 off the heat leader. She advances to the semifinals Thursday at 2:30 p.m. Eastern. (Chapelboro.com)
