Freshman Kevin O'Connell Ties School Mark at Jerry Pate Intercollegiate

Playing in just his second tournament Tuesday, freshman Kevin O'Connell is already taking aim at the Tar Heel record book. With a two-under 69 in the final round of the Jerry Pate Intercollegiate, the Cary, N.C. product finished with an 11-under 202 total for the tournament to match Brad Hyler's 54-hole school record of 202 back in 1998.
