Marquez North scores 5 touchdowns in rout

There’s a good reason Mallard Creek’s Marquez North is considered the top high school prospect in North Carolina. Berry Academy found that out the hard way Thursday as North led the Mavericks (2-1) to a 75-6 thrashing of the Cardinals. North scored a season-best five touchdowns and made things easier for his teammates as Mallard Creek – ranked No. 4 in the Sweet 16 – rolled to its second straight blowout win. (Charlotte Observer)
