Tar Heel Field Hockey takes top spot despite loss

Under normal circumstances, the No. 1 spot in the polls is earned by the team with the best performance from the past week. But last week in NCAA Division I field hockey, the top three teams suffered losses, prompting a shake up in the rankings that left North Carolina in the top spot despite a weekend overtime loss.
