Gio Bernard returns to workouts with Tar Heels
Posted Sep 12, 2012
Star running back Giovani Bernard was back on the practice field Tuesday, a positive sign for North Carolina as it prepares to face No. 19 Louisville on the road Saturday (3:30 p.m.). Bernard, who was wearing a brace on his sore left knee, scored three touchdowns in the opener against Elon but sat out Saturday’s loss against Wake Forest because he didn’t feel comfortable during pregame warmups.
