With 1:44 left on the clock, North Carolina quarterback Bryn Renner’s fourth-down pass attempt to Erik Highsmith fell to the end zone turf, ending the improbable comeback at the four-yard line. The Tar Heels got the chance for what had at one point seemed an inconceivable victory thanks in part to two game-changing special teams plays in the fourth quarter. (Inside Carolina)
