ACC Weekend Preview, Oct. 5

Virginia Tech at North Carolina: For North Carolina, a win would be a big step, even taking into account Virginia Tech’s disappointing start. The Tar Heels have yet to beat a foe from a BCS conference, and have lost seven of the last eight meetings with the Hokies. There are plenty of recruiting implications at play too, because both teams recruit many of the same areas. Prediction: Tar Heels 23, Hokies 21 (ACC Sports Journal)
