UNC 48, VT 34: Giovani Bernard, Tar Heels blitz Hokies

North Carolina running back Bernard finished with 23 carries for 262 yards, the fifth-most rushing yards in school history and more than any other player had ever gained on the ground against Virginia Tech. Though the Hokies (3-3, 1-1) had not lived up to its billing as Coastal Division favorites so far this season, this was expected to be the biggest test yet for Fedora’s new offensive system.
