North Carolina running back Giovani Bernard’s 9.1-yard rushing average leads the nation, but he is just shy of the qualifying mark for the official NCAA statistics. To qualify, you must play in 75 percent of your team’s games. His 262 rushing yards against Virginia Tech is the second-best individual performance in the country this season. (ESPN.com)
