Tar Heel Golfers Tie For Seventh At VCU Shootout


The North Carolina men's golf team tied for seventh place at the VCU Shootout after struggling to a nine-over-par 297 in the final round. The Tar Heels finished with a one-over 865 total after firing rounds of even par 288 and eight-under 280 in the first two rounds. Carolina was led by Kevin O'Connell, a freshman from Cary, N.C., who finished with a five-under 211 total. (Tar Heel Blue)
