Minnesota cancels home-and-home football series with UNC

Minnesota has backed out of two scheduled football games with North Carolina, a source with knowledge of the agreement said on Monday. A Minnesota athletic department spokesman declined comment. UNC and Minnesota had been scheduled to play on Sept. 7, 2013 at Kenan Stadium, and on Sept. 13, 2014, at Minnesota. (Raleigh News & Observer)
