UNC’s Rashad suspended for collision with Duke's Vernon
Posted Oct 23, 2012
North Carolina linebacker Shakeel Rashad was suspended for one game by the ACC on Monday after the freshman ran over Duke receiver Conner Vernon before the snap in UNC’s 33-30 loss to Duke on Saturday. There is no appeal process, so the second-string bandit from Jacksonville, Fla., will miss this week’s game against N.C. State at Kenan Stadium (12:30 p.m.).
