Baseball America Ranks UNC Newcomers No. 5


Baseball America released its Top 25 recruiting classes Thursday and ranked the North Carolina newcomers fifth in the country. The Tar Heels bring in the third-most Baseball America Top 500 players for the 2013 season with (214), (258), Taylore Cherry (280) and Kayden Porter (449) all earning the honor prior to the 2012 MLB Draft. Carolina's four Top 500 players rank tied for third behind No. 1 Vanderbilt (6) and No. 2 UCLA (5). (GoHeels.com)
