Tar Heel Women Handle Georgetown, 63-48


Sophomore guard Brittany Rountree scored 22 points to lead North Carolina past No. 25 Georgetown 63-48 in Carmichael Arena on Wednesday in the semifinals of the Preseason WNIT. Rountree hit six 3-pointers in the win, just one shy of her career high, to lead UNC's offense and tie with Georgetown's Sugar Rodgers for the most points on the night. (GoHeels.com)
