UNC-Butler Postgame Notes

The loss snaps Carolina's 10-game winning streak in the Maui Invitational. Villanova beat the Tar Heels, 77-75, on Nov. 22, 1995, in the championship game in UNC's previous defeat in Maui. This is the first time in six appearances that the Tar Heels will not be playing in the championship game. UNC scored 18 points in the first half tonight. That is the fewest in a half since Jan. 27, 1996. (GoHeels.com)
