UNC survives Maryland 45-38 to close out season

The ACC won’t recognize North Carolina as the Coastal Division champions, not that it matters to Tar Heels coach Larry Fedora. The Heels ended Fedora’s first season on Saturday with a 45-38 victory against Maryland that gave UNC a share of the Coastal championship. Had the Heels been eligible to participate in the postseason, they would have won the Coastal.
