The enduring knock on North Carolina’s defensive approach is its propensity to allow teams open looks from behind the 3-point arc. While that criticism doesn’t apply every year, it’s certainly accurate this season. The Tar Heels are allowing their opponents to shoot 35.5 percent from 3-point range, good for 11th in the ACC and 246th nationally. (Inside Carolina)
