UNC gets Blue Devil mascot head from Duke

Things got medieval Wednesday when the head of the Duke Blue Devils mascot was found on a makeshift pike on top of Student Stores. Staff members found the head atop the overhang facing the Pit when the store opened at 7:30 a.m., just 13 1/2 hours before the tipoff of the UNC-Duke rivalry game. “We thought it was just a random devil head for a prank,” said John Gorsuch, the director of Student Stores.
