A loathing for losing

The Tar Heels, led by a freshman quarterback, freshmen and sophomore running backs, freshmen defensive backs and a newcomer at linebacker and also along the defensive line in spots, played as hard as they could until the clock would no longer allow them to play. For the second consecutive game, a Carolina team that had showed unprepared so often since Mack Brown left for Texas, came ready to play. (Chapel Hill News)
