Competition still tight at tailback


After using a running-back-by-committee approach through the first two games of the season, coach Butch Davis said he's starting to see "just a little tiny bit of separation" among his North Carolina tailbacks. But he wants to see more, hopefully when his Tar Heels face Virginia on Saturday. "We're going to try to see if one of those guys can step up and take the lead." (Raleigh News & Observer)
