ECU beats UNC


It took 32 years, a comeback from a double-digit first-half deficit and a field goal with no time remaining but the East Carolina University football team can finally claim a victory over the University of North Carolina. ECU rallied from a 17-7 second-quarter deficit to defeat the Tar Heels,34-31, in front of 43,387 fans at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium on Saturday. (New Bern Sun Journal)
