Miami 87, North Carolina 77: This was one of the best ACC games of the year, if not the best. North Carolina, which has been playing well anyway, gave Miami arguably its best shot for about 35 minutes of that game before it ran out of steam, proverbially, of course. Miami took UNC’s best shots, grinned, spit out a tooth or two and hit the Tar Heels with a few haymakers. (ACC Sports Journal)
