Dean Smith shares in Roy Williams' run to Hall of Fame


Dean Smith still remembers a practice years ago when the Roy Williams-coached junior varsity team at North Carolina frustrated Smith's varsity squad with its stingy defense. It was just one of countless moments when the Hall of Famer came to realize that his pupil had what it took to be a great coach. And now that Williams is joining him in the Hall of Fame this week, Smith is getting the chance to savor each one all over again. (Winston-Salem Journal)
