While there’s no one on the Tar Heels’ current roster that projects to rush for more than 1,200 yards and a dozen touchdowns individually next fall – the averages Gio Bernard put up in each of the past two seasons before deciding to leave school early for the NFL draft – there appears to be a whole stable of backs poised to replace the departed All-America by committee.
