No. 1 Carolina Sweeps Road Series, 3-0


No. 1 North Carolina broke a scoreless tie in the sixth inning and added two more in the seventh en route to a 3-0 win at Virginia Tech Sunday to finish off a series sweep. After Carolina (34-2, 15-2 ACC) and Virginia Tech (22-15, 7-11 ACC) combined to score 46 runs in the first two games of their series in Blacksburg, Va., the starting pitchers locked into a pitcher's duel Sunday afternoon.
