ATH DeAndre Thompkins commits to Penn State

Wideout/athlete DeAndre Thompkins (Swansboro, N.C./Swansboro) -- No. 54 in the ESPN 150 -- has committed to Penn State, his high school coach said in a text message. Thompkins was on the sideline during the Blue-White Game and said, at the time, that he was enjoying himself. He was joined by his father and football coach Tim Laspada. He's now the headliner of this class and instantly helps Penn State's depth with his ability to play on both sides of the ball. (ESPN.com)
